An exhibition at the Fondation Louis Vuitton with Claude Monet's best water lilies, his Nymphéas, from the Musée Marmottan, and the paintings of Joan Mitchell for which she got the inspiration of Monet's. And here now, my inspiration from both. China ink on paper, how the colours glow, how the very sketchiness makes the work finished.
As with Joan Mitchell, most of the works here are conceived and done in several parts as di-, tri- or quadriptychs.
Here one of the "Quatre saisons / Four Seasons" Quadryptichons as a video clip with music by Claude Debussy from his "Prélude à l'Après-midi d'un faune".

If you do not want to dig around:
Here sometimes Stephan put together a small collection of his paintings for your convenience. Either new works he wants to show or issues that have touched him just intensively.
Enjoy.
