The painting was originally part of a series of 6 pieces entitled ‘Ein Sonntag im Mai - und wir draußen | A Sunday in May - and us outside’. I over-painted it in February 2025.
The painting was created for the 100th birthday of Pierre Boulez. To celebrate the composer, music teacher, conductor and, above all, man, after a concert at the Philharmonie de Paris in Paris, performed by an ensemble that he himself founded, including two musicians who had already worked under him.
